New ICE 52 RS
As standard: glass-carbon construction, Southern Spars carbon rig, carbon rudder stock, lithium batteries and ultralight interiors.
The ICE 52 RS, designed and concerted by Umberto Felci together with the boatyard’s team lead by Enrico Malingri, it is a fast cruiser envisioned for the most competitive owner, who aims to top performance in regattas and at the same time comfort while cruising.
The modern lines feature a reverse bow with a carbon bowsprit of optional length between 1.3 and 1.8 meters, a Volvo Open 70 inspired stern, which is also a main stroke of the ICE33, the wicked racer launched last June and already on the market with 5 sisters.
The waterlines, as well as the keel (3 meters of draft), are designed to deliver the best performance sailing both sharp angles upwind and planning fast downwind.
Also by engine you can proceed very fast, 9.2 knots is cruise speed!!And in the garage you can fit without deflating a tender of 2.85 meters!!

Hull and deck are carbon-glass fiber, vacuum infused from a female mold and the carbon structure, also infused, is built directly on board. This choice in not only minimizing the weight, but it also improves the overall structural strength and resilience, hence allowing to withstand the high loads experienced during the most challenging races.
The ICE 52 RS has a Weldox fin with high mechanical properties and a lead bulb CNC (Computer Numerical Control) shaped that offer to reduce the appendices weight and improve the righting moment. As a result of a great optimization in both close hauled and reaching.
The rudder with carbon stock, offers an optimal control of the boat even in the most extreme conditions, making sure safety it is always ICE’s main design requirement.
The deck layout, Felci Yacht Design signature, combines ease and style, elegance and efficiency, comfort and flexibility. The ICE 52 RS’ deck gear has been optimized to withstand bigger loads. The full carbon Hall Spars rig counts double spreaders and it can be constructed with High Modulus Carbon. The backstay is Reckmann.
The deck design was conceived to deliver the optimum compromise between easy handling in long distance cruises and maximum efficiency and performance during races.
Following this principles, the sailing plan features little to no overlaps between Genoa and Mainsail, has no runners and the shrouds connection is positioned directly on the hull, carbon vacuum infused.
Thanks to the technology adopted to realize the interiors, such as ultra-lights panels, the weight reduction is outstanding compared to a traditional construction. This choice does not compromise the carpentry high standard, neither the accuracy in details or the material’s innovation research.
Compared to the standard ICE52 model, the ICE52RS version has a total weight reduction of about 1600 Kgs, also thanks to the installation of lithium batteries.
The first ICE 52 RS is actually under construction in the newest ICE YACHTS yard in Salvirola, near Crema, 45 km from Milan.
